Anti Ragging
Anti-ragging committees are established in GSL Nursing Institutions to prevent and address incidents of ragging, which involves bullying, harassment, or intimidation of students, often inflicted on junior students or newcomers by their seniors. GSL Nursing Institution supports ragging free environment in the campus and takes all the Anti-Ragging measures.
Anti-Ragging Squad of GSL Nursing Institution designs strategies and action plan to stop ragging in the campus and follows all the rules & guidelines of Supreme Court Of India and UGC

Discipline Committee
OBJECTIVES
Disciplinary Committee maintains discipline, dignity, decorum and rapport of the institute. Controlling the students through rules and regulations and channelization their youth energy into positive and creative direction and promotion of the manners, personality, character and civilization.
- To maintain the activities of college joint venture in regards to disciplinary act.
- To uplift the student’s potential and to develop them as a balanced citizen in the society.
- The institute is driven with a passion and mission for imparting peaceful, safe and friendly environment.
- To scrutinize and prevent any in disciplinary activities (lack of attendance, unpunctuality, misbehaving with staff, patients or colleague, damage to hospital and college property) and riots.
- To provide a medium through which the committee can monitor and control the discipline of its students.
Key functions of the committee
- To make the rules and regulations as per the disciplinary requirement.
- To make the student aware about the discipline.
- To make the student follow the disciplinary rules.
- To take disciplinary action against any of the misconduct.
- To coordinate with legal cell of People’s Group in case of any major in disciplinaryactivity

Examination Related Grievance
The examinations office maintains a Grievance Redressal mechanism as a support to the students to deal with examination-related grievances. Grievances of the students such as Revaluation, Personal answer script verification, queries related to course codes, wrong entries in names, hall tickets etc., are addressed in stipulated time by the office of Controller of Examinations.
The grievances regarding internal theory and practical examinations are resolved immediately by the coordinator of the class and HOD of the respective department. Internal Examination answer scripts are shown to the students after the assessment by the concerned course teachers for further clarification to the students. A time-bound Redressal mechanism is suggested by the Controller of Examinations office, as per the guidelines and rules set by Academic Council. Students can write their examination related queries by online or by the help of suggestion box.
Grievance Redressal Cell
Objectives
- Provide a platform for students and staff to voice grievances related to academic, administrative, or personal issues.
- Ensure that all complaints are treated fairly and impartially.
- Educate the college community about grievance procedures and rights.
Mechanism
- Grievance Redressal committee (GRC) shall consider only individual grievances of specific nature of students and staff.
- The GRC shall not consider any grievance of general applicability or of collective nature of raised collectively by more than one employee/student.
- Post receipt of the complaint/application the committee will decide on the merit of case regarding scope of further discussion investigation and act promptly.
- The GRC may mediate between complainant and defendant against who the complaint has been made, it required.
- GRC shall consider redressing of grievances within a reasonable time.
- The cell will give report to the authority about the cases attended to and seek guidance from the higher authorities if required.
Grivanvce Redressal Cell
Grievance Redressal Cell in GSL Nursing Institution serves a crucial role in addressing the concerns and complaints of students, faculty, and staff, and tries to resolve it as fast as possible. Student can address their complaints and query about any academic and non-academic in the campus through online an suggestion/Grievance method

Aims

SNA
International Women's Day Celebration
SNA Unit of College of Nursing celebrated International Women's Day. Debate was held on topic "Marriage makes women better or bitter".
Observation of World TB Day
SNA Unit observed world TB Day. SNA volunteers surveyed for the TB cases. People who had symptoms of TB referred and sputum smear were done for 5 patients and Monteux was given for 3 patients.
World No Tobacco Day Celebrations
World No Tobacco Day was observed along with GSL Rural Health Centre, Peddapuram. We did a screening program for the men and women who had a habit of tobacco chewing and smoking for the presence of cancerous lessons.
International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking
In connection with Inter International day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking awareness, programme was organized at Higher Secondary School, students on the topic, "Role of youth in prevention of drug abuse".
World Breast feeding week celebration
On the 2nd of August the healthy baby contest was conducted at GSL Rural Health Centre, Nandarada. Around 40 months and 25 babies participated in the program. The Programme concluded with a film show based on the importance of Breast feeding.
World Mental Health Day Celebration
World Mental Health Day was observed in the theme "Building Awareness". Reducing risk for mental illness and suicide as in a small scale industry at Nandarada. An awareness programme was organized on the theme.
National Integration Week Celebration
SNA Unit celebrated National Integration week on. Rongoli competition for the women was conducted at Ambedkar Nagar. Around 20 women participated in the competition.
World Aids Day
An awareness rally was organized by the SNA Unit of GSL College of Nursing. Volunteers started the rally from the College premises and went through Rajanagaram Nagar and returned to the college.
Human Rights Day celebration
The SNA Unit of GSL College of Nursing mission to celebrate the human rights day. The Programme began at 3.30 pm with a prayer song. Elocution competition was conducted for the students on the theme "One world one Humanity".
International Peace Day Celebration
International Peace Day celebration was organized by M.Sc. Nursing students. Students were involved in writing slogans & diagrams related to peace on lengthy blank banners. In the evening, students were taken to Govt. Arts College to attend.

Sports
- The college provides sports facilities for the students through the department of physical education. There are two Physical Directors (one male and one female) available to give coaching and training for the students.
- The sports facilities includes outdoor games, like Volleyball, Basket Ball, Hand Ball, Tennis, Shuttle and Badminton and indoor games like Table Tennis, Carom and Chess.
- There is also a large play ground for athlete and field events like running, Cricket, Football and Discus throw.
